NOTIFICATION No. 56/2021-CUSTOMS (ADD)
New Delhi, the 30thSeptember, 2021
G.S.R. (E). –Whereas, in the matter of import of “High-Speed Steel of Non-Cobalt Grade” (hereinafter referred to as the ‘subject goods’), falling under tariff items 7228 10 10 or 7228 10 90 of theFirstSchedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) (hereinafter referred to as the CustomsTariff Act), originating in,or exported from Brazil, People’s Republic of China and Germany(hereinafter referred to as the ‘subject countries’) and imported into India, the designated authority in itsfinal findings vide notification No. 6/23/2018 -DGTR, dated the 1stAugust, 2019, published in theGazette of India, Extraordinary, Part I, Section 1, dated the 1stAugust, 2019, had recommendedimposition of definitive anti-dumping duty on the import of subject goods, originating in or exportedfrom subject countries;
And whereas, on the basis of aforesaid findings of the designated authority, the CentralGovernment had imposed definitive anti-dumping duty on the subject goods vide notification of theGovernment of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 38/2019 Customs(ADD),dated the 25thSeptember, 2019, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II,Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G. S. R. 691 (E), dated the 25th September, 2019 (hereinafter referred to as thesaid notification).
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (5) of section 9A ofthe Customs Tariff Act, read with rules 18 and 20 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment andCollection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995,theCentral Government hereby makes the following amendments in the said notification, namely:-
n the said notification, in proviso to paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and word “30thday of September, 2021.”,the figures, letters and word “31stday of January, 2022.” shall be substituted.
